 2.5" culms to 55' high.  A dwarf with swollen internodes when grown in a pot with occasional dry conditions.  In the ground a giant bamboo with zigzag lower branches.   A very tight clumper whose culms grow close together.

Bambusa ventricosa 'Clone X' (Clone X)                   3-gal pot - $60

3" culms to 70' high.  Fastest growing bamboo for us.  Zigzag lower stems like ventricosa except larger and faster growing.  Our most vigorous growing bamboo producing a large specimen clump.

Otatea acuminata aztecorum (Mexican Weeping)      25-gal pot - $75

1.5" arching culms to 20' high with dense fine leaved foliage.  Clumps open with culms spaced to 2' apart. Difficult to grow.  Requires rich, well-drained soil with lot of moisture available.

Running Bamboos:

Hinobambusa tranquillans Shiroshima                      1-gal pot - $25

Culms to 1" dia and 15' high although usually much smaller.  Beautiful cream colored leaves with green stripes.  Remains striped year long.

Indocalamus tessellatus                                          3-gal pot - $35

 0.5" culms to 5' high.  Largest leafs of any bamboo.  Leaves to 4" wide by 26"  long.  Adapts well to growth in pots.  Does well in sun or shade.

 Phyllostachys angusta                                             3-gal pot - $35

1" culms to 20'.  Called Stone Bamboo due to hardness of the culms which are used in China for fine furniture.

Phyllostachys aurea (Golden Bamboo)                        3-gal pot - $25

 1.5" culms to 25' high.  First oriental bamboo introduced into the US and the most common bamboo in the US.  Yellow culms with yellow green foliage.  Has multiple short internodes at the base of the culm which is often curved at the base.
