. Arundinaria gigantea 6/03 - Received specimen of "native bamboo' - later identified as japonica. 4/06 Dug three bare root culms. Potted three, one wilted. 5/06 wilted specimen put out new growth. Arundo donax variegated Not a bamboo but an interesting grass. Invasive, especially when near water source. 6/03 planted collected rhyzomes. 6/05 dug out of collection and movedto wetland. Several stems 3/4" dia and 10' tall. Bambusa chungii 3/07 new plant arrived. 8/07 split. Bambusa chungii barbelatta 7/06 2-gal pot putting up new culm. 8/06 split planted in demo garden.
